This is a practical course for Teachers, Teachers of the Deaf, Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals working with children who have had cochlear implants for approximately 3 years.

Although children’s language skills generally develop very well with cochlear implants, current research indicates gaps within some children’s higher level language skills.

This course aims to provide professionals with information and activities to develop these skills, which are important for children to fully understand and express themselves in a variety of situations and to reach their full potential academically.

This course can be offered in conjunction with the local SLT/TOD service on request.

‘A very useful day – lots to feed back to other staff at school.’

‘I thoroughly enjoyed the training and feel the things I have learned will be useful in supporting the children.’

£25.00 including lunch
