This is a practical course for parents/carers of children who have had cochlear implants for approximately 3 years.

Although children’s language skills generally develop very well with cochlear implants, current research indicates gaps within some children’s higher level language skills.

This course aims to provide parents/carers with information and activities to develop their child’s higher level language skills.  These are important for children to fully understand and express themselves in a variety of situations and to reach their potential academically.

The course can be offered in conjunction with the local SLT/TOD service on request.

‘Very good. Really useful and given me lots of new ideas and things to do when I get home!’
