Information Morning for Local Professional

Thursday 28th June 8.45 – 12.00

How are children assessed for suitability for cochlear implants?

What is programming?

How do children develop speech and language with cochlear implants?

If you work with children who have cochlear implants and would like to explore these questions with members of the YAIS team, why not come along to this Information Morning? You will learn about the pre-implant assessment process with an Advisory Teacher of the Deaf, observe part of a programming appointment with an Audiological Scientist and discuss expectations post-implant with a Speech and Language Therapist.  Six places are available on each morning; please book early as places fill up quickly.

‘Thank you so much – really interesting and helpful information that will support me in my professional role when explaining cochlear implants to families and schools.’

‘Excellent – very personal approach, well thought through presentation.’

Free (Please send a cheque for £10.00 payable to The Ear Trust to secure your place. This will be refunded to you when you attend).
